MRKTBLMS
with Ksenya Samarskaya and Aiala Hernando
I love digital art. The lights, the motion, being dunked into imagination like a warm pool of water.
It was the year of the NFT, and when my friend and creative partner Samarskaya showed up with a concept called MRKTBLMS, I thought, “This is going to be really cool.” It turned out to be really really cool. I’m not even going to put a screenshot here, you have to play with it. You have to touch it.
But: digital art is only valid if it can do something that analog art can’t. NFT exchanges deal in bitmaps and videos. We thought we were walking into an artistic revolution, and instead found collectible bubblegum cards.
Someday digital art will get taken seriously. In the meantime, you can experience MRKTLBMS here.
